We are here to help,
Mike & Mel
From Malvern Gazette, 11th April 2008:
Soak up the great ambience at Riding High, a friendly gallery, gift shop and cafe which has just had a major makeover.
Owner Mike Austin explained the philosophy behind the business: "Riding High combines a shopping experience and a shopping destination with the wow factor here on the high street," he said.
"We opened a year ago and following our makeover, we have been able to dramatically expand our range.
"We offer the ultimate shopping experience with the emphasis on quality lighting, studio ceramics and glass, original artwork and one of the finest and most interesting collections of jewellery around.
"There is a good collection of antiques and collectables all of which are reasonably priced and can fit in the boot of your car."
Mike and his wife Mel's passion comes across as they give the best they can seven days a week. What started off as a hobby is now a museum of cycling memorabilia, which has moved to a dedicated room at the rear of the premises.
The cafe, which has been awarded four out of five stars in Malvern Hill District Council's Scores on the Doors scheme, serves Fairtrade Colombian coffee and locally sourced homemade cakes.
Sit down and relax with a coffee, listen to great cafe music or check your email in this unique ambient store, the alternative place to meet with interesting people. Turn up by yourself and you are bound to get into conversation.
